My First Cake

Once upon a time I had a baby girl.  For her 1st birthday I wanted to make her an amazingly wonderful cake.  I had a grand plan to make a cake shaped like a purple flower.  Little did I know red and blue food coloring don't turn vanilla frosting purple...but more of a purpley gray.  After this cake was done, I cried and promised myself her birthday cakes would never be so awful again.  And so, my years of learning, baking and decorating began.
