Thundercats 7th Birthday Cake

Thundercats Ho!  It's a familiar call from my childhood.  I remember playing Thundercats with my babysitter's kids when I was 10.  We had a lot of fun.  Thundercats has made it's return 25+ years later and I was excited that a high school friend asked me to make a Thundercats cake for his son's birthday. 

Grandma's 76th Birthday Cake

Since I started decorating cakes for people besides my kids, I've been getting a lot of requests from friends and family.  I love these cakes because I can experiment with designs and do whatever I want...and since these customers aren't paying, I'm a lot less stressed in the process.  This year my Grandmother is staying in NY for the winter, so I made her a cake for her New Year's Eve birthday party.  This is my first attempt at a topsy turvy cake using new cake pans I received for MY birthday.  Not bad for a first attempt.
